Speaker Bios:
John Kimon Yiasemides serves as Associate Director at Navigant in its Global Construction Practice, providing expertise in construction management, CPM scheduling, and dispute resolution services for the construction industry. Mr. Yiasemides is a testifying expert in litigation matters and works as a consultant in the development and rebuttal of claims, forensic schedule analysis, e-discovery assistance and analysis, and negotiation support for mediation or settlement conference environments. During his more than twenty years of work experience in the construction industry his experience has included domestic and international projects in both the public and private sector, including: highways and bridges; tenant projects; office buildings; educational; condominiums; power plants; transit projects; warehouses; hospitals; and military bases.
Patrick 'Pat' W. Brannon's Florida construction experience began in 1972 as he worked his way up through the trades with experience as a carpenter, foreman, superintendent and project manager. Along the way Pat earned his BS in Engineering "With Honors" from the University of Florida. Pat is also a Certified General Contractor and has particular experience in designing and constructing industrial facilities. He also has experience in CPM scheduling, claims research, and dispute resolution on projects valued in excess of $100 million. Expert testimony includes trial, arbitration and extensive mediation experience.
Philip N. Hammersley is a Shareholder and a member of our trial practice and dispute resolution group. He practices primarily in the areas of complex construction, commercial and residential real property litigation as well as trust and property disputes. He is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator. A 1975 graduate of the University of Florida, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Economics. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University Of Florida College Of Law in 1978. Mr. Hammersley has handled a multitude of varied construction, commercial and real estate litigation and arbitration matters through mediation, trial and appeal. He represents contractors, subcontractors, materialmen, design professionals, owners, developers, landlords, tenants, lenders, trustees, personal representatives and beneficiaries in all phases of dispute resolution. These matters have involved commercial disputes, condominiums, multi-unit, single family residences, and many areas of real property law.
